Tuesday 20 July.

In another blow to the Queensland music and events industry, COVID-19 has forced Out 'n' Proud Festival to be rescheduled.

Originally slated to take place on June 19, a COVID-19 outbreak in the heart of the Festival Zone on the Sunshine Coast forced the postponement of the Inaugural festival. In recent days, Melbourne has been thrust into snap lockdown which has since been extended, the extension of Greater Sydney’s lockdown, the growing COVID outbreaks, and increasing restrictions that are in effect across most of the country have made it quite clear that the decision to present an event of this magnitude would not be a responsible one.

Our headline artists are all scattered in and around these impacted areas, meaning that while we would love to bring LIVE MUSIC back to South East Queensland, it simply would not be a viable decision. We are in discussion with relevant stakeholders right now, and are preparing to announce new dates for our Inaugural Festival, to take place BEFORE THE END OF 2021

Launching a festival in the current nature of COVID is a challenge, but we firmly believe that this celebration of People, Pride and Culture is too important to let slip. While we may not be able to present our Feature Event, the Out 'n' Proud Team will continue to deliver smaller events, programs, initiatives and content over the coming weeks.

The Out 'n' Proud Team team has begun work immediately on not only a 2021 event, but also a 2022 tour to bring the industry and community together on the other side of this pandemic.,

Finally, we would like to thank and express our deep gratitude to the 1,600 ticket holders, stall holders, contractors, support staff and followers for the ongoing support and we cannot wait to party with you, real soon.
